Track Name: on the altar of man (Feat. Sullivan Fontaine)
The way you see time, keeps you up nights, she's kept on the lights, you think you're getting closer, you're never getting closer
if lungs feeling dry, keeps you up nights, we've kept on the lights
you think you're getting closer, deep breaths then up and over

A muted sunrise, on moss covered eyes, distorting the light
you think you're getting younger, obscuring life with answers
we're chaining the lamb, to the altar of man, there exists a hand
therein lies our salvation, refusal's self-damnation

We're all stretching upwards, in picturing ourselves
becoming ideas, yet daylight is wasted
with differences fleeting, it's thinking versus breathing

I'm finding verses, written by a long forgotten hand,
they mean the same thing:
the lights that you see now are as bright as they get

It's strange and defeating, how some days cast heavenly-
light on our being, yet others pass breathlessly
earth veiled in mourning sends songbirds to sing of our glory

Track Name: Lob sei Gott, dem Vater, g'ton (J.S. Bach, BWV 62; Chorale
Praise be to God the Father,
Pray be to God, His only Son,
Praise be to God, The Holy Spirit,
forever and in eternity!
Text by Martin Luther. Movement from a Lutheran Cantata
